What is Included

Our price is all-inclusive.  This includes all meals, lodging (shared occupancy), kayak instruction, local transportation, kayak equipment for Beginning, Basic Intermediate, and all fly-in guests, plus use of our mountain bikes.  We offer a shuttle to the lodge from the Arcata airport for $40/person; return drop-off is free.  Advanced & Intermediate students should bring their own equipment but may borrow a kayak if they are flying.  All guests are welcome to try out new boats while here.  You may wish to bring money for a massage ($65/full body) and Otter Bar memorabilia.  We serve wine, juice, and water with dinner.  You may bring other beverages or purchase soft drinks, beer, special juices, etc. at the local Salmon River Outpost or Forks of Salmon Store.   Gratuities are left at your discretion and are split amongst guides, cooks, and lodge staff; tips often range from 8% to 20% of the regular course price.  Please see our FAQ, What to Bring list, or contact us if you have further questions.

Deposits & Cancellations

A $300 deposit is required to secure your reservation with us.  The balance is due 45 days prior to the start of your visit.  A refund of the deposit will be made 45 days prior to the start of your visit minus a $50 service fee per person.  For cancellations received less than 45 days prior to your visit, no refunds of the balance or deposit will be made.  We recommend trip insurance for emergency cancellations.  All Trip Protection (www.alltripinsurance.com or 1-888-560-95222 ext. 55555) and Travel Guard Insurance (www.travelguard.com), and www.travelsafe.com are three of many companies offering trip insurance.

Group Deposits

A minimum group of 14 may book the lodge for an entire week of kayaking.  Full payment must be made 90 days in advance to secure the lodge for a private group.

Discounts

The first 3 weeks of our season are discounted 15% off regular course prices.  Please refer to schedule above.

Please check our list of what to bring.  This list will also be sent to you upon receipt of your deposit.
