Kayak New Zealand's Rivers with Otter Bar
New Zealand is a
magical country where mountains drop steeply into the ocean and
crystal-clear whitewater rivers wind through sculpted rock
canyons. The country holds an incredible array of rivers for
kayakers of all skill levels and we have a custom trip that takes
you to the best of it.
For the third consecutive year, Otter Bar is offering two 11 day
guided kayak trips to the South Island of New Zealand.
Whether you're a class 2-3 boater or a 3-4 paddler wanting to run new rivers and
improve your skills, we have it all for you. Our guides will put you on sections of
magnificent rivers that
match your skills.
Intermediate Trip (Class 2-3)
This trip is
geared towards intermediate paddlers, comfortable on class 2-3
water, who want to improve their class 3 whitewater skills.
Advanced Trip (Class 3-4)
This trip is for more advanced paddlers who are looking to
strengthen their skills on New Zealand's awesome class 3-4 water.
 Trip
Basics
Dates: Intermediate - January 16-26,
2009 (class 2-3 trip);
Advanced - January 30-February 9, 2009 (class 3-4 trip).
Cost: $2495 - includes boat rental, all in-country
transportation, lodging, first-rate instruction and guiding, light
breakfast and lunch, helicopter shuttles (weather permitting),
pick up/drop off at the Christchurch airport or local hotel.
Does not include air fare to New Zealand or dinners.
