Our
Food is Phenomenal!
As the only kayak school ever featured in Bon Appetit magazine,
you can expect to enjoy fine dining with us.
We employ two full-time chefs and a lodge staff that put together
and serve fresh, hand-made meals each day.
Creative, Inspired Cuisine
Our chefs create wonderful, fresh food that flows from their
culinary inspirations each day. There is no set menu and no
repetition.
We emphasize fresh produce and purchase from local organic farms
as much as possible. Our own organic garden provides herbs,
tomatoes, and flowers for table decor. We serve a variety of
styles of food so it's hard to generalize but you could say we offer
California Cuisine.
For Vegetarians, Vegans, and Those With Food Allergies
We happily accommodate vegetarians, vegans, and if you have any food
allergies or dietary needs, just let us know and we'll make sure you
are well take care of. Is there some dish you're craving?

Meal Time!
Breakfast is served buffet style in the lodge. Fresh
organic coffee and hot water for tea are out by 7am, breakfast at
8am.
Each day you will have lunch along the river with your
kayak instructor and fellow paddlers (usually custom-made sandwiches
from our daily lunch bar), with the exception of two days when we
will have lunch at the lodge, freshly prepared by our chefs.
The ringing of the gong signals the start of dinner around
7:30pm. Dinner is served in a beautiful buffet in the lodge.
During summer, we will dine together outside beneath the color of
the sunset. When cool or wet, we'll dine in the cozy comfort
of our wood-heated lodge.
